There’s this contest taking place at Clarity of Night . Below is the story I submitted for it. Ironical part of my experience was I ended up writing 3 stories and then went stark MAD thinking which one should be sent. My hubby had a good laugh at the predicament I put myself into. Well, eventually I picked one yet I know I have a long way to go to be able to compete with the caliber of work I’m seeing there. If you’re up for it, give it a whack !
About the criteria for the story. It Had to be within 250 words and based on the picture taken by Jason Evans titled The Truth in Wine ( In Vino Veritas )
The other two stories I wrote are – – – Holding On and All it Takes.

On a separate note, I’d like to mention I’m really thankful to Aniket and Kunjal for informing me of this opportunity to challenge myself. Above all, my hubby specially for being so patient with me along with being my support and guide. I wonder what I’d ever do without him. 🙂
Love all the three stories. Yes certainly the one you have chosen is best cos the narration is brilliant in it. How ever I was more attracted to the plot of second story.All the best:)

I read your other two stories and feel you made the right choice with "The Artist." "Holding On" would've been my second choice, minus some of the cliches. Isn't it great participating? I'm trying to keep up with all the entries and meet a few bloggers too. Continue writing!

Adisha, you are absolutely brilliant. I loved 'The Artist' and 'Holding on' … I think you made the right choice because the theme is something we can associate with and feel for, what with all the crime bar against women rising exponentially. Way to go, hope you win!

I think your best piece definitely is the one that you're submitting in. And a very close second is 'Holding On'. I think The Artist has a certain something about it that's captivating – and makes you stop and think after reading it. Good job Adisha & all the best! <3
