Days of Errors

Have you ever wondered why it is that some days just nothing goes right ? Everything you touch seems to turn to ashes. You get up on the wrong side of the bed and then one by one, the dominoes keep falling such that by the end of the day you feel like you were hit by a truck. You just want to wash the day away, crawl into your covers and let the night take you into a bright new day. A day that’s more in your control. Sure, sometimes the next day is worse that the one before, but it’s a few days of those.

That’s coz you have to hit a low before you start climbing again.  Or maybe it’s that you were soaring a bit too high before and this is the world around you bringing you down a couple of notches. Showing you, your rightful place.

Yesterday, was one such day. Spent 8 hours in the car, going to and fro from washigton DC. Baby cried most of the way there, and back. First the GPS took us to the wrong place, and then we got stuck in traffic becoz of which we missed the submission hours. Then the search for food and fuel was fruitless, due to all the one ways and the round robin driving. No parking, rude people and a general feeling of suffocation as the high walls around us seem to close up around us. We couldn’t wait to come back home to our medium size town with it’s open spaces, expansive parking and high chairs in restraunts. Came home and just plumped down.

Today seems no better as my head seems like it’s in a fog. The body and mind seem not in sync and baby seems to not be comfortable too. The long ride probably has his limbs aching. Poor thing!

But as I put these words down and make my way out of the fogginess, I decide to put on some Loud music, cook some delicious food for the soul and plan an impromtu party forcing me to get out of this quagmire that is my bad mood. Here’s hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

All we can do is look back at better days and wait for better ones.
