Everyone falls in Love

A life should ideally be beyond love
To be living in the moment
Most are just in love with being in love
The romance, the drama, the tears, the magic
Heart meets heart
Mostly heart just meets brain
Real emotions and fake manipulations
Everyone falls in love
Either to rise high or shatter the heart
Inching forward, getting back up and falling again
the road seems endless and dark
Disheartened, with only a flicker of hope for joy

And then once in a while, lady luck shines
A happenstance encounter
and the world instantly brightens
as if installed with a dimmer switch
Love becomes something more than imagination
The falling teaches to cherish the one who holds on tight
To know the importance of being kept safe
being respected, cared for, every little annoyance cherished.
To know the importance of being nurtured.
facing every obstacle together, no matter how many times we stumble.

As the wishes on falling stars, turn into reality
Life seems better than the best dream
something not just exciting, but a journey to look forward to.
We hold onto it with delicate fingers
Selfishly high on the ecstasy of the smile of that one Love.
The love that consumes our beings, brightening the world within and without.

  1. Hi there! This is a lovely ode to Love. I like how your piece builds and stews before fulfilling us with a comforting ending. Love this contrast: “to rise high or shatter the heart”.

Thanks for recent visit. Be in touch. 🙂
